Meal Groups at Crossroads Church recently invited Dr. David Clark to help us understand these “Christians Gone Wild” at the Church in Corinth.
Dr. Clark is an esteemed Professor of Theology at Bethel Seminary. He is the author of several books, essays, and articles on apologetics and has most recently published "To Know and Love God: Method for Theology."

At the Woodbury Campus on Tuesday, March 17, at 6:30 pm, Meal Groups will be hosting “Fireside with Dr. David Clark.” As we move into the book of 1st and 2nd Corinthians for our daily readings, we have invited Dr. Clark to help us understand these “Christians Gone Wild” at the Church in Corinth.

He joined the Bethel Seminary faculty in 1988 after teaching philosophy and theology for 10 years at Toccoa Falls College in Georgia. The author of several books, essays, and articles on apologetics, he most recently published To Know and Love God: Method for Theology.

Last night, Rabbi Ed Rothman (for more information on Rabbi Ed, see his bio below) came to the Woodbury Campus as part of the Meal Group Continuing Education Program. As we launched into the Gospel of Luke in our Daily Readings, we thought it would be helpful to get a perspective on the book from the eye of a Rabbi.

HOW JEWISH ARE WE?
Most of the New Testament was written by or about Jewish Rabbis, and the Gospel of Luke (which is coming up quickly in our Daily Devotional Readings) is heavily steeped in Jewish tradition. So, as we read through Luke's version of the biography of Jesus, understanding Jewish roots will help to make the Bible come alive!
This Wednesday, October 22, Rabbi Ed Rothman will be joining us to teach us how to interpret the Gospel of Luke in light of its Jewish origin.
Rabbi Ed is a Messianic Jewish Rabbi (a Jew who believes Jesus/Yeshua is both Lord and the resurrected Messiah). Rabbi Ed was instrumental in starting the first Messianic Congregation in the Twin Cities, and he has been active across the world sharing the Good News that the Messiah has come and is alive today.
He currently serves the Seed of Abraham congregation in St. Louis Park (visit www.mealgroups.org for Rabbi Ed’s complete bio).
This event, held at the Woodbury Campus, is FREE and open to anyone who would like to attend.

Ed and his wife Alberta's life message has been to encourage the Jewish people to accept Y’shua (Jesus) as the promised Messiah and all New Covenant believers to understand their Olive Tree Connection (the Jewish roots of their faith in Jesus the Messiah). They believe that should inevitably lead the Church to pray for, share their faith with, and to show G-d’s love to the Jewish people and the nation of Israel (Romans 1:16 & chapters 9-11).
Ed will speak to us about the Jewish roots of our faith and take our questions about Judaism, his life and ministry and whatever else we throw at him.
